Give What You Want To Receive…..

Give What You Want To Receive…..

Today, I posted out a gift, a simple and loving gift to a person who I just wanted to thank for their support. I absolutely love giving gifts, it makes me happy, and I know it helps or cheers up someone else, it’s a pleasure to do it.  Ironically, as I returned from the post office and a quick trip out, something beautiful arrived for me!  What do you know!??

I was only sharing with a friend about my joy at giving a presentation, recently to a bunch of souls who needed some cheering up.  I spent some time putting together a bit of a presentation that was relevant to their needs. I had Darryl critique my slide selection before I delivered it, and made sure the presentation was on point and appropriate to the brief I was given by the manager. (more…)

Are you really having a bad day?

Are you really having a bad day?

Sometimes we think we are having a hard day, or going through a tough time until we hear someone else sharing their story,: Remember that saying ‘I cried because I had no shoes until I met a man who had no feet!’  While cleaning up some paperwork in my office, I came across some notes, I just had to keep, share, enjoy the read.

Fire authorities in California found a corpse in a burned-out section of the forest while assessing the damage done by a forest fire.  The deceased male was dressed in a full wet suit, complete with scuba tanks on his back, flippers, and a face mask. (more…)

Hard Working Hunza People

The Hunza people are legends in the true sense of the word.  They have mastered the secret of old age, for which the rest of the world has sought so long in vain.  They have evolved a way of living, thinking, and eating that has substantially lengthened their life span.  They don’t have much money, yet they are not poor!  Nestled in an isolated corner of the Himalayan Mountains, HUNZA has been a land of mystery for more than two thousand years. The stories that have come to the outside world in the early ’60s told of a valley of eternal youth, capturing the imagination of every man and woman.

How is it that a tribe in north India and Pakistan, can live free of disease, reaching ages of 115 or more? How is it that these same men can father children at the age of 90? Can we explain Hunza women being just as energetic at 80, as Australian women age 40?  How does that happen? Perhaps the answer lies in the fact that their life in the tiny valley they call home, has remained untouched by civilization for more than 2,000 years!no jails or crime and no juvenile delinquency, yet the children of the Hunza Valley are not restless. They are the healthiest longest-lived people in the world today. (more…)

Landing In Lockdown Then Quarantine!

Landing In Lockdown Then Quarantine!

I found myself in a precarious position, I was forced into ‘lockdown’ in Victoria while visiting my father.  Along with all other Victorians I was sharing their plight in the cold of winter.

I have been known to say to my family, ‘no one is to die in Winter, get married, or have any celebration that requires my presence because it’s just too cold and I won’t be there for that.’

Indeed my trip to Melbourne was to only be for four days.  “Life Is What Happens When You Are Busy Making Other Plans, as John Lennon’s words ring out to me!”   I busied myself sorting out dads’ place by going through various cupboards, draws, storage areas, and more.  Preparing meals for dad, that were healthy and wholesome and enjoying his beautiful company while forced into a Melbourne Lockdown that came out of nowhere but, then when I think about it now, was highly likely to happen!
