Let’s make soup that really makes a difference.

This Soup has all the goods, believe me.  Starting with Sweet Potato, now who doesn’t love this lovely vegetable?  Full of nutrients like potassium, magnesium (nerves), sulphur (heat sensitive, essential for healthy hair), silicon (protection from Arthritis, beauty mineral), iodine (weight control), chlorine (purifies the blood).  Potatoes are a concentrated starch food and they provide an abundance of energy.  Potatoes and Sweet Potatoes combine well with most other vegetables when no complex proteins are combined, let the potato give you the earth energy without the problems of poor digestion which can occur if complex proteins are taken at the same meal.  Potatoes do supply protein in small quantities and by adding other vegetables, butter and coconut milk with mashed potatoes the protein content will improve considerably.  Potatoes are compact energy from the earth.  The addition of the cabbage and the essential oils add extra flavour, nutrition and a healthy glow to your skin. 

Ingredients:    

  • 4 medium sized sweet potatoes, washed, and diced into small sizes,
  • 1/2 cabbage, sliced and diced
  • 1 large potato, cubed
  • 1 zucchini, sliced and cubed
  • 1 small onion, sliced finely
  • 120 grams of frozen peas
  • 1 x  240ml Organic Vegetable Broth (brand Pacific)
  • pinch or more of Himalayan salt or sea salt
  • 2 litres of boiling water
  • Essential oils - 4 drops Black Pepper, 4 drops of Rosemary, 2 drops of Cardamom
  • fresh chives and parsley for extra flavour
  • 60 grams organic butter

Putting It Together:

Heat a small pan, and fry the onions and zucchini in the butter, set aside.  Boil up water in the kettle, pour into a large soup pot.  Add sweet potato, cabbage, peas, vegetable broth, salt and herbs, then cook over a medium heat for around 10 minutes.  Add the zucchini and onion with the essential oils, and keep on a low heat for a further 20 minutes.  KEEP LID ON!

Turn off the Gas, or heat, and allow the soup to stand in the pot in the hot liquids.  Re heat the soup a little more and season to taste before serving.
