It seems to me life has become a little more complicated, a little more involved and ‘we’ the organisms and life forms that are attempting to thrive in the earth’s environment are a whole lot more volatile!
Our bodies are under attack from the moment we wake up until the moment we put our heads on the pillow each night. Most people have a very high-stress load, and run on empty day after day, week after week, and before you know it a whole year has gone by, and the things you really wanted to do have become a distant thought, as though pushed out of the way and out of sight.
So, what are we going to do about fixing that? I propose a ‘Reset’, a Lifestyle Reset, which means taking 2 days out of a busy life and focussing on aspects of behaviour around breathing, hydrating, movement, food choices, eating, thinking and mindset. 2 Days that incorporate reflection and orientation of your perspective. How did you get to where you are now? How are you going to implement strategies for change and a healthier direction?
Lifestyle Reset Retreats are all-encompassing and all engaging. We target these questions and deal with them head-on. Our attendees go away feeling empowered and capable to make the changes that need to be made.
Think about this, how often do you take time for a massage or some healing work? If it’s once a year, that’s not enough. If it’s twice a year, that’s still not enough, and if it’s three times a year, you are only just scratching the surface of what you could be experiencing.
When was the last time you focused on your breathing? Right now, just stop and take a few deep breaths, note if you feel dizzy, or unsteady on your feet. Take time to focus on the way you are breathing. It’s crucial and you will learn why!
What do you know about food combining? Probably not that much, given it’s not taught in schools and not even valued by some of the finest Wellness Practitioners. Food combining is a science that when implemented with awareness can be the difference between you feeling terrible and lethargic to finishing the task you told yourself you would finish because you now have the mental energy to do it. Poor food combining means you are running marathons in your digestive system and will only end up exhausted/tired and have less energy.
What is your Dosha? In Aurevic medicine, we have a dominant Dosha, Pitta, Vata or Karpa. When you know your dominant Dosha you can match a more appropriate range of foods, movement and other aspects of living to this. During the retreat we go over this in detail, it’s fun and informative and useful.
What’s your mindset around exercising? Are you encouraged to move your body, or frustrated because you lack the motivation and the will to move? We help you find the joy in movement, music, and comedy. You just have to turn up!
There is so much to learn and so much to appreciate about being human. Joyfully there are so many good things you can tap into’, at the Lifestyle Reset Retreat we focus on those elements around food, mind, body, essential oils, essential thinking and knit it all together with beautiful plant-based food, excellent presentations from speakers and presenters at the top of their game. We need to reset our lifestyle so that we can have the physical and mental energy to tackle what life dishes up to us. The retreat will bring you enough time to contemplate what you are already doing. In many cases we find out that people are giving their lifestyle a red hot crack already and have several of the key elements of being healthy and staying healthy in place, however, when they find out they can do more and twig things a certain way, the improvements, the benefits are phenomenal.
We all need to reset at some point so that we can slow down the aging process and speed up the joy factor in our lives. Make sure you come along to one of our Reset Retreats soon. www.anneclark.com.au.
